What is TheatreDate.com?
Since October 2006 TheatreDate.com has been the comprehensive online calendar of upcoming community theatre performances, events, and auditions in Chico, Paradise, and Oroville. This service has been provided at no cost to the local theatres and community and has provided valuable exposure for the area’s performing arts.
What’s next for TheatreDate.com?
There is plenty of room for expansion of TheatreDate.com. The local media coverage of theatre events is shrinking and something needs to fill the void to help keep performing arts thriving in the Chico area. TheatreDate.com is ready to step up by including quality reviews of local theatre performances.
How can I help?
Until now TheatreDate.com has survived by keeping costs to a bare minimum. Adding reviews to the site will increase operation costs. The plan is to pay high quality reviewers a competitive rate, and use targeted advertising to bring people to the site. This cannot happen without financial help from the community. TheatreDate.com needs a small group of sponsors to fund the reviews section of the site.
Sponsorship of TheatreDate.com reviews will benefit performing arts in the Chico area. All contributions will go directly to paying reviewers and promoting the site. Promotion of the site will target local residents and visitors to the Chico area.
Sponsors will be featured in the reviews section of the site and in TheatreDate.com’s newsletter. The site and newsletter currently reach almost 2,000 people every month.
